Arthur Edward Walker, traditional name Asiniwasis, of the Okanese Cree Nation, passed away Saturday, surrounded by his family in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He will be missed by his wife, Theresa “Odie” Walker; siblings Marie-Anne Daywalker-Pelletier, Cecil, Stella, and John Cummings; children, Patricia (David Dorion), Dawn, Katherine, David, and Pamela; Cherysse, grandchildren: Ashley (Kenneth Johnston), Brittany, Dustin, Delaney, Mackenz, Danika, Chloe, Asia, Halle, Frankie, Vincent, Vayda, and Riley; great-grandchildren: Aubri, Drayden and Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. He is predeceased by his mother, Nancy Cummings, brother David (infancy); grandparents: Adelarde and Callista Starr; Aunt and Uncle: Emma Daywalker and Edward Walker Wakeup. Wake will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 4 pm in the Okanese Learning Center, Okanese First Nation. Funeral service will be held Thursday November 9, 2017 at 11 am in the same location. Please come and celebrate a life well-lived. Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Fort Qu’Appelle and Raymore, SK.
