Cody Neal McLeod (he/they/them) – Okimaw Ahtik Iyino – Chief Sundance Pole, was born October 28, 2002, and started his journey home April 3, 2024. Cody was prayed for and came into our lives at 20 months talking, walking, and knowing he was ours. Cody blessed us with his gentle, sweet presence for 21 years.
Cody was welcomed to the spirit world by his loving uncles Walter Deiter and Geri Sigurdson, his sweetie-pie auntie Connie Deiter, cousin Jennifer Sigurdson, and his grandfathers Walter Deiter and Jermiah McLeod. Cody will have a reunion with his birth mother Julie and sister Shinaya. Thank you for loaning us Cody. We are eternally grateful.
Left to cherish his memory is mother Christine Deiter (Cameron), sisters Jordan Watson, Allyson Watson (Nathan), nieces Brynn and Addison, brother Josh Musgrave, niece Laila and nephew Torrin; father Neal McLeod, brothers Glen, Justin, and Thor. Special Auntie Jessie Deiter, close cousins Trent, Logan, Samson, Starla (Indio), Skywalker; best friend Thomas Deiter (Autumn); big bro Gavin (Alishia); Aunts Janet Sigurdson, Linda Johnston (Calvin), Patricia Deiter; Kokum Inez Deiter, and many more relatives and friends upon Turtle Island.

Wake will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 4 pm in the Veterans Hall at The Hub, Peepeekisis Cree Nation. Funeral Service will be held April 9, 2024 at 11 am in the same location. Interment to follow in the Peepeekisis United Church Cemetery.
