Mary Annita Louise (Louise) Poitras was born on July 17, 1938 and joined her parents, brothers, daughter and granddaughter on April 12, 2024. Louise was predeceased by her parents Enoch Poitras Sr., Martha Poitras, brothers George Poitras, Elmer Poitras, James Poitras, Eugene Poitras and daughter Clarissa Nokusis, granddaughters Sweet Nokusis and Justine Nokusis. Louise is survived by her children Maurice (Phyllis) Nokusis, Deborah (George) Nokusis, Joanne (Wally) Nokusis, Blaine Nokusis, Carla Nokusis, Harley (Nicole) Tawpisin, Misty (Cliff) Nokusis and siblings Leon (Olive) Poitras, Enoch (Linda) Poitras, Lillian (Percy) Poitras, Elaine (Delmie) Flamont, David (Sarah) Poitras, Vera (Joe) Poitras and Sisters-in-laws Alma Poitras and Edith Poitras. Numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Peepeekisis Kateyak. 

We respectfully request that no children under the age of 12 attend the wake and funeral services but to join us for the meal after at the Veterans Hall.

Wake services to start on Sunday April 14, 2024 at 5pm at the R.C. Church on the Peepeekisis First Nation with funeral services on Monday April 15, 2024 at 10am also to take place at the R.C. Church on the Peepeekisis First Nation. Interment to follow at the R.C. cemetary. Lunch to follow at the Chief Thunderbird Centre, Veterans Hall.
