Shannon Linda Hido
August 18, 1963 – February 23, 2024
With deep sadness and broken hearts, our family announces the passing of Shannon Linda Hido on February 23, 2024 at the age of 60, with the love of her family by her side. Shannon was born the youngest and fourth child to Lorne and Anne Runyan, in a small doctors office in Punnichy, SK.
Shannon was raised in Quinton, later moving to Raymore where she attended school. In 1979, She welcomed her daughter, Christina. After graduating high school in 1983, Shannon Married Ron Hido on August 20, 1983, followed by the birth of their sons Darcy (1984) and David (1985).
Shannon spent most of her years working as a waitress. She most enjoyed venturing off to any surrounding lake to go camping and fishing. This is where she found her most peace. Ron and Shannon travelled to Vegas and Cuba, several trips to Alberta and BC. They did enjoy a simple drive down an old dirt road. Shannon loved music all her life, country and folklore. Music was always playing in her home inside and out and at every family gathering, music was a must. Gardening was a passion and there could never be enough flowers.
Shannon was diagnosed with a brain tumor and lung cancer in 2022 and has been the strongest soul throughout her journey.
Shannon is predeceased by her parents Lorne (2016) and Anne (2006); her sister Janice (2017); brothers in law Michel (2015) and Daryl (2019); father and mother in law Joseph (1998) and Adeline (2012).
