September 25, 1923 – January 13, 2020

Our family matriarch joined the love of her life, Edward Pinay on January 13, 2020 in Balcarres. Elizabeth was born September 25, 1923 in File Hills Hospital and lived a life rich with family, friends and loved ones. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Maggie and Joe Starr (step-father) and her father Moses Leveille; husband Edward; children Barry, Anne, Paula and Laura; grand-daughter Becky and 4 great great grand-children; brother George, sisters Grace, Stella, Joan (Isadore) and Virginia.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons Neil (Donna), Percy (Lillian), Blain (Maureen) and David; her daughter Arlene (Breeze); her brothers Christopher (Donna) and Alvin “Baby Rat” (Judy); her beloved Jeanette and Larry; and 22 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; and other relatives to numerous to mention.

Elizabeth’s kindness and resourcefulness was shared beyond the family home through her career as a teacher. She enjoyed music, possessing a talent for singing and ability to play the organ. Elizabeth travelled internationally and fully participated in all sorts of activities with her family including training thoroughbreds with Ed.

Elizabeth’s family acknowledges the staff at the Balcarres Integrated Care Center for their excellent care.

Prayers will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 7 pm in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lebret, Saskatchewan. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11 am in the same location. Lunch and fellowship to follow at White Calf Gymnaisum, Lebret, SK. Flowers gratefully declined, donations in lieu of flowers should be made to the Balcarres Integrated Care Center, Box 340, Balcarres SK, S0G 0C0, in Elizabeth’s name for the compassionate care she received.
