Reverend Ken Bruvold passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Ken was born in Fort St. John, B.C. to Delbert (Darmody, SK) and Helen (born in Wakaw, SK) Bruvold. He married Karen on December 18, 1971. Ken leaves to cherish his memory his children Wanda (Derek) - kids Kyle, Kourtney, Keanna, Kalin, Koby,Karson, & Kessa; Shane - kids Alphia, Karla, Dallas & Olivia; Cody (Melissa)- kids Trai, Tye; Tammy (Steve) - kids Zion..., Sterling, Eviana; 7 great grandchildren. Ken became an ordained minister in 1988 and pastored in in Inuvik, Aklavik, Whitewood, Moosomin, Kinsella, Nelson, and Semans; and was a Legion Chaplin at the time of his passing. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Doug. Ken devoted most of his life to doing Gods work – he was always concerned for others both in the church and the community, he was always a beacon of Gods light in the hopes of being there for others when they felt lost or were in need. Ken enjoyed gardening, and yard work. He loved seeing his family and grandchildren and spending time with the love of his life Karen through their 46 years of marriage.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1 pm in the Semans School Gymnasium, Semans, SK. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Semans First Responders c/o Village of Semans, Box 113, Semans, SK, S0A 3S0.
