Owen Leon George

June 28, 1976 - December 7, 2019

Owen Leon George born June 28 1976, passed on to the spirit world in the early morning of December 7 2019. Owen is predeceased by his father Curwen John Auburn, mother Mabel Irene George, brother Darcy Clements George, sister Lila Kelly George and aunt Elizabeth Nemethi as well as numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his two sons Mackenzie Brian Hayes George and Richard Colton Alexander George and his two granddaughters Aaliyah Currie- George and Oliva Mary- Anne George. Owen leaves behind to cherish his memory brothers Robert (Karen), Darryl (Dianne), Gerald, Ronald, Alex (Vhenus) Randy, Timothy, Les (Martina) sisters Risa Downs, Jolene and other adopted brothers and sisters. Many niece and nephews to name. Special mention of his best friend, Aaron Watson.

Owen was born in Whitewood SK; he grew up on Ochapowace First Nation. In his early years he liked to play fastball, enjoyed being in the presence of all his friends, family and special cousins, he was a very likeable person and easy to talk too, he had a passion to protect his family and friends, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed help. He developed a skill through his older brothers and dad and became a mechanic and a certified heavy equipment operator. He worked throughout the prairie provinces and he took great pride in his work ethic, he loved to talk about his varies accomplishments in the work field.

A Celebration and in memory of Owens life will start with a traditional wake on Thursday at 4pm on December 12, 2019 at the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex with Traditional Funeral Service to start with a feast at 10 am on December 13, 2019 followed by a funeral service. We welcome everyone to come back and eat with the family after graveside service. As per traditional protocol, the family asks for no children to be present.
