Aurèle Morrissette Obituary

Aurèle Ronald Joseph Morrissette
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Aurèle Morrissette on May 13, 2022, at the Old Rivers farm, near Fort Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan. He was the dearly loved husband of Margaret Standish Morrissette (née Wahn). He will be welcomed in heaven by his parents Albert and Annette Morrissette, his brother Raymond and wife Noëlla, as well as his brother-in-law Danny.
Aurèle will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Margaret; his cherished children Miguel (Billie-Jo), Alana (Roland), Charlotte (Benjamin), and Katherine (Colin); his treasured grandchildren Samson, Louis, Josephine, Kymani, Sydahlia, Raurianne, Arland, Genevieve, and Lochlan; and, his surviving siblings Elaine (Michel), Leon (Eleanor), Diane, and Norm (Mavis).
Aurèle’s strength and kind nature was a beautiful testament to the human spirit. He enriched our lives with his compassion, generosity and sense of humour. He loved without boundaries and welcomed everyone, without judgment. Aurèle was a model of how to be an exceptional father, sibling and partner. He wanted you to feel loved, be heard and to laugh. Aurèle’s philosophy in life was to walk in the sunshine. He will live on in the hearts of the many family and friends who were fortunate enough to have had this exceptional man in their lives.
Aurele’s friends and family are welcome to a final farewell viewing at 10:30 am followed by a celebration of life, which will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, Saskatchewan. The service is also available online at 11:00 am (https://www.resurrectionparish.ca/). In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca), Lucky Paws Rescue (www.luckypawsdogrescue.ca), or a charity of your choice.
