With deep regret, we announce the passing of Benjamin Justin Whitequill on May 11, 2024.

Ben was predeceased by his maternal Grandparents Lena Whitequill and William (Bill) Anderson, Mother Marion Whitequill, Aunts Doris, Janice, Theresa, Uncles Louis, Allan, Raymond, Michael, Linus, Morley Whitequill, Bradley Louison Sr, Richard Starr, paternal Grandparents Gilbert and Alexandrina Crowe (nee Moise), common-law wife Jaqueline Starblanket.

Ben is survived by his sons Jade Favel, Tyrell Whitequill, daughter Avery Sparvier, parents Bryan and Cheryle Crowe, brothers Trevor (Dana) Whitequill, Ken Featherston, Bryan Aaron Crowe, Terrance Goodpipe (Destiny), sisters Heather Budau, Jerylyn Crowe, Shelley Whitequill, Heather Whitequill (Quincy), Judy Whitequill, grandchildren Tobias Favel, Everett Favel, aunts Faye Whitequill (Rick), Noreen Cyr (Earl), Vera Delorme (Allan), Sharon Greene, uncles Albert Crowe, Glen Crowe, Les Vonkeman (Jeanette), Andrew Vonkeman (Eileen), aunts Brenda Pinacie (William), Darlene Bryant, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ben was a kind caring older brother that his younger brothers could look up to and he was always very respectful to his sisters, and he tried to be a good father. He was funny, mischievous, helpful, and good to talk to and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Thank you to all that considered him as their friend.

A Wake will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, on Kahkewistahaw First Nation, in the Community Complex. Traditional services with Elder Allan Delorme, will take place the following day, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in the same location at 11:00 am.
