With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother Brenda Jean Swanson. 

She was predeceased by her Husband George Swanson; Parents Grace and George Starr; Siblings Leslie Starr, Wayne Starr, Wayne (Infancy); Sister Karen Starr; Nephews Mikey Starr, Roland Goforth, and baby Lloyd Starr.

Brenda is survived by her Children Shawn, Gil, Krystal (Bryan); special Grandchildren, dear to her heart, Seth, Darian, Shane, Damian, Sekura, Bino, Albie, Bubba, Lenaina, Surraynh, Mateo, and Kyzan; Siblings Ralph, Debbie (Ray), Dennis (Muriel), and Jean, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Wake will be held Monday October 25, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Peepeekisis Pesakastew School Gym, Peepeekisis Cree Nation. Funeral Service will be held the following day, Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the same location. Interment to follow in the Starblanket Cemetery, Starblanket Cree Nation.

As per family request, no drugs or alcohol will be permitted.
