Our dear mother Charlotte made her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the age of 55.

Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Eugene Peter Kay; mother Shirley Nanaquewetung; adopted dad Tom Favel.

Charlotte is survived by her children Dwight Kay, Jesse Kay, Larissa Kay, Lindsay Kay; grandchildren Conner Bird, Catalina Kay and Videl Kay; adopted mother Verna Favel; adopted sister Anne Favel; adopted sons Jason Keewatin and Jared Bird (Lindsey Starr).

Charlotte enjoyed traveling to powwows and round dances near and far. She was a backup singer, a traditional dancer, and an accomplished ribbon skirt maker. She also loved to listen to country music every morning with her coffee. Charlotte enjoyed her tv programs, The Price is Right and Lets Make a Deal in the mornings, and hockey in the evenings, especially the Edmonton Oilers. She also loved going to car shows, and walks around Wascana center. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Wake will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 4 pm in Asiniw-Kisik Education Center Gym, Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11 am in the same location.
