It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Clayton "Jake' Akapew on July 6, 2024 at his home on Little Black Bear.
Jake is predeceased my his Mother; Shirley Akapew, Children; Devin, Aaron, and Natasha Keewatin, Grandson Jarod, Sister; Donna Akapew, Brothers; Budge, Bob, and Buster Akapew.
Jake will be forever remembered by his loving Wife; Debbie Keewatin, Children; Wesley (Ashley), Jay (Alana), Jerry, Brad Wesaquate, Ashley (Devin), and Danica (Tyler), Sisters; Denise McNab, Dianne (Darrell), and Delia (Jonas), Brothers; Faron Akapew, and Kevin (Arlene) Kurek, Godson Justin Kurek, Great Grandchildren, Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews, Aunts; Doris Starr, Ruth Keewatin, Elsie Kinequon, Uncles Sidney Akapew and Kenneth Akapew. A Traditional Wake will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 4 PM in the Little Black Bear Community Centre, Little Black Bear First Nation. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 11 AM in the same location.
