Conrad Logan

October 7, 1973 - June 11, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Conrad Logan announces his passing on June 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Conrad will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Shelley; his mother Shirley Casey Solvberg; stepfather Marious Solvberg; sister Tonia Logan (Pat); stepsister Becky Solvberg Hiebert (Chris); mother-in-law Anne Davey; father-in-law Arnold Davey; brothers in law Greg Davey, Brent Woynarski, Alvan Kirstein, Clayton Schultz, and Gary Stalwick; sisters in law Melissa Davey, Danielle Woynarski, Bev Kirstein, Linda Schultz, Michelle Stalwick, and Sharon Woynarski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Conrad was predeceased by his father Royce Logan; grandparents Frank and Helen Logan and Edward and Joyce Casey; his uncle Timothy Casey; and brother in law Larry Woynarski.

Born in Eston, SK on October 7, 1973, Conrad was raised in the Eston/Plato area. His parents farmed near Plato before moving into Eston, where Conrad graduated from Eston High School in 1991. He was an avid athlete, playing hockey as a goaltender for both the Eston Ramblers and the Kindersley Elks.

Conrad worked at Flexi Coil and Cecor for several years before completing his Criminal Law Enforcement studies in Calgary, AB from 1991 to 1993. He was accepted into the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, beginning his training at Depot on July 16, 2000.

Conrad loved being a police officer, serving communities, meeting people, and forming lifelong friendships. His RCMP career included service as an Auxiliary Constable with the Saskatoon Detachment (1998–2000), graduating with Troop 14 on December 18, 2000, and postings to Warman (2000–2003), Wollaston Lake (2003–2005), and the Regina Drug Unit (2005–2009). He was promoted to Corporal with the Regina Serious and Violent Offender Unit (2009–2012) and later served at the Southey Detachment (2012–2016). Conrad was promoted to Sergeant at the Sandy Bay Detachment (2016–2018) and later worked with Traffic Services. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant at the La Loche Detachment before joining the North District Management Team in Prince Albert. Most recently, he served with the Training Branch at RCMP Headquarters in Regina, acting as Inspector in charge of Career Development and Resourcing.

Conrad was also a proud member of the Tactical Support Group, where he embraced every aspect of the work, including gassing his troop mates, and treasured the brotherhood, camaraderie, and friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Sports were one of Conrad’s greatest passions. He loved football, hockey, curling, and anything competitive. He was the biggest Saskatchewan Roughriders fan; anyone who knew him would swear he owned the team. His devotion to the Riders was unmatched. He also loved his Montreal Canadiens. Conrad knew every player, every team, and every statistic. Sports weren’t just a hobby; they were part of who he was.

Conrad cherished time with his family and friends. He loved watching his nephews play hockey and lacrosse, and his nieces dance and play volleyball. No matter how busy he was, he always made time to show up, cheer them on, and be part of their lives.

Among his many hobbies, fishing was his favourite. He especially loved the northern lakes and the annual trips to Missinipe with “the boys.” He also enjoyed ice fishing on Last Mountain Lake in his fully equipped shack, complete with his tablet hooked up so he could watch curling while he fished.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Regina General Hospital Emergency Department, Unit 5A, Unit 6A, and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre at the Pasqua Hospital for the exceptional care and support provided to Conrad and Shelley throughout his cancer journey. Your professionalism, compassion, and kindness will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Conrad’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Strasbourg Memorial Hall, 113 Pearson Street, Strasbourg, SK.
