Danny O'Neil Roberts
August 14, 1945 - March 23, 2026
Uncle Danny, Danny O’Neil Roberts, lived life his own way—loud, full of rhythm, and with a spirit you couldn’t ignore. Growing up between Govan and Regina, he carried that prairie strength with him wherever life took him.
As a bass player in bands around the city, music wasn’t just something he did—it was part of who he was. You could feel it in the way he carried himself, in the stories he told, and in the energy he brought into every room.
But beyond the music, what truly defined Danny was his heart. No matter the occasion—weddings, funerals, graduations—he showed up. He showed up for his family, again and again, without hesitation. That kind of love, that kind of presence, is something that stays with us.
He lived a rock-style life—loud, wild, and unapologetically his. The kind of life that burns bright and leaves a mark wherever it goes. Truth is, it was never going to be anything but time that took him—he’d already outrun the rest, living harder, loving bigger, and playing louder than most ever could.
Danny passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of music, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Strasbourg, SK. 1-306-725-4000
