Darrell Brian Obey

March 1, 1973 – October 2, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Brother and Father, Darrell Brian Obey. Darrell passed away peacefully at home with his caregivers Candace Obey, Darcy Aisaican, and twins, Maryanne and Marylynn Kahnapace by his side on Saturday October 2, 2021.

Predeceased by his Parents Irene Obey and Leslie Churchill; Grandparents John and Olive Obey (Manitopyes), Eric Churchill and Emma Churchill (Hallet); Great-Grandparents Bob Obey and Mary Emily Asham; and Sister Wanda Obey-Asham.

He leaves to mourn, his family, Daughters -Britney Klyne, and her son, Teanna McKay, and her son; Sons- Darrell McKay and Darian Butz; Step-Son Liam Butz; Siblings- Beatrice Obey and her family, David Obey, Donna and Stanley Paskimin and their family, Cathy Obey-Cote and Andrew Gordon and their family, Calvin Obey and Shelly Mayoh and son; Favorite Aunty Margaret Obey; as well as a large extended family and friends, too numerous to mention.

Wake will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chief Ben Pasqua Memorial Hall, Pasqua First Nation. Funeral Service will be held the following day, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the same location. Darrell will be cremated and buried beside his mother at the Obey-Pasqua Cemetery. Covid -19 protocols will apply.
