Delbert Curtis Henry

Delbert Curtis Henry “Koolest” unexpectedly started his journey to the spirit world on Thursday May 2, 2020 at the age of 55 Years old.
Born March 20, 1965 in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. Delbert was predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Mary Gladys Henry (nee Peepeetch), his brother Wilbert Dean Henry and sisters Marlene (Roger), Colleen and Maureen, along with two sisters in infancy. His Paternal Grandparents Roderick and Ella Henry (nee Taypotat), Maternal Grandparents Vincent and Grace Peepeetch (nee Wasacase). Uncles: Lewis, Lawrence, Clifford and Harold Henry, George Delorme, Alec Dorma, George Wasacase, David, Roy and Donald Peepeetch. Aunts: Pearl Delorme, Caroline Wasacase, Mabel and Marie Peepeetch, In-laws Lorna (Eric) Smoker and Barry Belanger. Delbert is also predeceased by Co-workers Morley Pearson and Shane George.
Delbert leaves behind his loving life-long partner Petra Belanger, daughter Mary-Anne and sons Brandon (Lisa) and the light of his life, Tayven Louis Styles Belanger. His adopted children: Glenda (Mykel), Matthew, Special grandchildren: Mykaela, Myleah and his grandson who he called Charlie. Brothers: Allen, Willard, Jerome, Christopher Henry, Blaine Wasacase and Barry(Lana). Sisters: Evelyn (Joe), Iris, Janet. Aunt: Donna Quessnall and Special Aunts, Lavina Dorma and Ruth Henry. Uncles: Ross, Ronald and Norman Peepeetch and Special Uncle Ross (Doreen) Allary. In-laws Christene, Francine, Elizabeth along with many extended family and friends too numerous to mention.
Koolest worked on the Ochapowace Pasture Crew for many years, he will be missed by his co-workers Shawn and George Henry, Terrance Assiniboine, George Allary, Shawn Watson and Eugene Still.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all those who drove Delbert to his dialysis treatments. Our heartfelt thanks to the many wonderful nurses and staff who work in the Regina General Hospital Renal Unit.

A viewing will take place May 5, 2020 at Conley Funeral Home in Wolseley Location from 11:00am-2:00pm
As per traditional protocol, we ask that no children are in attendance.
Traditional Wake will be held May 5, 2020 Ochapowace Nation Tipi (CDGMM) at 4:00pm Viewing for Immediate family only. From 5:00pm- 10:00pm 30 Minute Viewing - Only 6 people at a time
Funeral will be May 6, 2020 beginning 5:00am – 12:00pm open for Viewing at CDGMM Tipi. At 12:00 pm – IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY . At 2:00pm- Pipe Ceremony – Elder and Scapios and Immediate Family (10 Listed) ONLY. The service will not open to extended family or public at this time to follow pandemic guidelines

Please respect that the family is following COVID-19 guidelines and only allowed 10 people in the Tipi at a time and there is no food allowed to be served.
