Denise Dustyhorn
November 11, 1981 – April 25, 2023
We are saddened to announce the passing of Denise Dustyhorn, she was called home on April 25, 2023 at the age of 41. Denise is predeceased by her loving parents Elise Keewatin and Joseph (Slug) Dustyhorn, siblings: Joposh Dustyhorn, Adeline Dustyhorn, David Dustyhorn, Grant Bigsky, and Donavin Dustyhorn.
Survived by her children: Halie Dustyhorn, Destiny Naticappo, Josh Dustyhorn, Jayden Dustyhorn, Isabella Runns-Dustyhorn.
Siblings: Joseph (Lisa), Derrick (Sheila), Shelia (Craig), Michelle, Dawn (David), Darlene (William-deceased), Josephine, Karen, Dennis (Susan), Fredrick aka Dustin (Delilah), Danny (Jennifer-deceased), Dean (Tina), Dorey, Camillia (Derrick), Marie Gerard, Brad Kay (Chrissy), Marilyn Kay, James Bigsky, Agnes (Shawn), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A special acknowledgement to her cousin Bridget Bear for being such an important part of her life. Denise was a bright young lady who enjoyed the outdoors biking, hiking, watching the sunrise, and visiting friends and family. One of her favorite sayings, “enjoy life because time waits for no one.”
Traditional Wake will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 starting at 4:00 pm in the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex Gymnasium, Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 am in the same location. The family sincerely thanks the staff at Evan J. Strong Funeral Home, Calgary, Alberta.
