February 6, 1955 – July 1, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Dustyhorn, announce his passing on July 1, 2024, at the age of 69. Dennis was born February 6, 1955, in Lestock, Saskatchewan.
Dennis is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Alice Dustyhorn; son Dennis Jr.; siblings Howard, Roland, Mary, Bernice, Muriel; special nieces Diselle and Ashley; nephews Tom, Shane, Scotty and Wyatt. If we forgot about anyone, we are truly sorry.
Dennis leaves to mourn his wife Doreen; children Dallas (Amanda), Miranda, Marilyn (Greg), Noella, Ivan, Micheal (Corrine), Merl, Tom, Bubba, Kenny, Shawn, Devin; brothers Bud, Wayne; sisters Judy (Ken), and Yolanda; special grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; numerous adopted siblings, children, grandchildren, friends and Chiefs.
Dennis leaves a legacy when he served as Chief and a councillor for many years. He loved his family, friends, and everyone he met, he always put everybody first. Dennis loved watching his sons compete in rodeos, loved his horses, leather work, listening to his grandbabies play, music, sports, being around friends and family. If Dennis wasn’t visiting, he was busy cutting the grass with his new lawn mower, which he was so proud of. The family would like to give special thanks to Big Guy’s nurses Maxine, Nadine, Kelly, Larrisa, Monica, Angela, and his Doctor Beauvivage. We would also like to thank all the Chiefs throughout Indian Country.
The last goodbye is the hardest one to say, this is where the cowboy rides away!
