Dorothy "Irene" Schira

June 13, 1930 - March 10, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Mom, sister, Sister-in-law, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Auntie and friend. Irene passed away peacefully at the Last Mountain Pioneer Home in Strasbourg, SK, on March 10, 2025 at the age of 94. 

Irene leaves behind her son Elden (Maureen); daughter Kathy (Charlie) Munro; grandchildren Danny (Shelly), Preston (Michelle), Clinton (Diana), Scott (Jovie), Krissy (Marty); great-grandchildren; brothers Stacey, Arthur (Candy); Allan,(Sheryl); sisters Iris, Alice (Norm), Mabel; sister-in-law Marianne Hodge, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Irene is predeceased by her parents William and Alice Brown; husband Alex; in-laws Alex and Katie Schira; brothers Eddy and Don; sisters Wilma, Inez and Helen; along with numerous in-laws and friends. 

Thank you to the Last Mountain Pioneer home in Strasbourg for the loving care Mom received  over the past 4 years. 

A family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Last Mountain Pioneer Home - Activity Dept would be appreciated.
