Gloria Hazel Gambler Keepness went home to Jesus with her family by her side on December 15, 2021 at All Nations Healing Hospital at the age of 85. She was born July 31, 1936 in Cupar SK, to parents John Keepness & Elsie Gambler. Gloria is predeceased by John Keepness (Father); Elsie Gambler (Mother); sisters Mildred Delorme, Edna Keepness, Mable Peigan, Dianne Keepness, Maude Fisher, Marjorie Dubois and Faith Holst; brothers Johnny Keepness, James Keepness and Austin Keepness; grandson Shawn Gambler. Gloria is survived by her life long partner of 59 years Donald Phillips; daughters Cynthia, Shelly, Sherry (Lionel); sons Derwin and Lionel (Patricia); grandchildren Cory, Mitchell, Crystal, Michael, Steven, Chistopher, Amanda, Chase and James; great grandchildren Nolan, Rheo, Cortland, Cole, Sahara, Nicholas, Melody, Colin, Carter, Scarlette, Mckenah, Selena and Ronan. Gloria cherished her family, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She instilled in all of her children and grandchildren her strong belief in God. She lived her life reading her bible, teaching her children and grandchildren about the word of God and the power of prayer. Gloria worked for many years at the Fort Qu’Appelle Indian Hospital as a cook, where she built many lifelong friendships. After her years of work, Gloria retired and was then the caregiver for her grandchildren, which she enjoyed tremendously. Gloria was well known for her beautiful soul she was a mother not only to her own children but to many cousins and friends. Gloria had a huge heart and would take in anyone who needed a place to live and treat them as her own. She will forever be remembered for her love that she gave unconditionally to everyone around her.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2 pm in the Fort Qu'Appelle Legion hall, 197 Company Avenue, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK. A luncheon will follow the service, Covid-19 protocols will apply. Cremation will take place at a later date.
