Gregory Dunn Obituary

Gregory Kenneth Dunn
August 24, 1956 - April 6, 2025

The family of Gregory Kenneth Dunn are saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Greg is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shelly; children Sade (Donny), Montana (Matt), Shaw (Lindsay) and Rory; his two brothers Ron and Randy as well as his much-loved granddaughters Roselyn and Matilda Dunn. His dog Ruby will mourn his loss, as well as his Zig cat.

Greg was predeceased by his parents Ken and Arlette Dunn; brother Ricky; sister Barb; in-laws Steve and Louise Mentanko; sister in-law Darci O'Connell.

Greg, or “Boogie” as he was called by many friends, was a hardworking man with simple tastes in life. He loved a good joke and loved to give a good ribbing. He loved his home in the scenic and historic Qu'Appelle Valley stating, “Why would I live anywhere else when I already live in the most beautiful place in the world?” He spent countless hours on home and acreage projects because of this love. He loved gardening, growing vast quantities of delicious vegetable for his family and to share with others. He recently added a small strawberry operation of which he was very proud. He loved picking Saskatoons on the hills of the valley which Shelly would turn into delicious pies for him, but he would loath having to share same pies (and butter tarts as well) even with his own children. To share with his beloved granddaughters was ok though.

Greg loved his wife's cooking and could care less if he ever is out at a restaurant, preferring homemade foods, canning, baking and those delicious home-grown vegetables straight from the garden; “Kings and Queens don't eat this well.” he would say.

He loved a game of crib, playing with and spending time with his precious granddaughters and his many German Shepherds.

Greg will be deeply missed by his friends and family. The creeks are running, Greg, now you can come home.

Service and interment to happen at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Wolseley, SK.
