It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Greg Okolita… who left us unexpectedly on May 16th 2023. A long-standing community member, father, brother, and a dear friend to many. His departure has left an immense void in many lives, and he will be profoundly missed. In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral or memorial service will be held.

Born on November 15th 1967, Gregory Okolita brought laughter and love to those around him. He embraced his professional life by taking over his family’s hardware store in 2010. He selflessly devoted his life to caring for his mother and father and wanting to be in their presence whenever possible. Greg invested his time and energy in creating lasting memories and nurturing the bonds that would forever connect them. He will forever be remembered for his invaluable guidance, stubbornness, and unwavering commitment to his friends.

Gregory Mike Okolita’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories he created. His influence will forever be etched in the hearts of his surviving family members, including his children Ashleigh, Mitchell, Storm and Tahni, and siblings Joseph Okolita (Dianne), John Okolita (Caralen), his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

During this difficult time, we find solace in the cherished memories we shared with Greg. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate his remarkable life, filled with love and laughter. Though our hearts ache with grief, we find comfort in the knowledge that Greg will rest in peace along side his Mother Helen Okolita, Father Mike Okolita and sister Doreen Faye.
