In Loving Memory of Helen Matechuck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Matechuck, a beloved daughter, mom, grandmother, and sister, started her journey home on November 4, 2025 at Regina Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Helen Matechuck (Stuart Dustyhorn), was born on October 20, 1943, on Kawacatoose First Nation and is predeceased by her father Jim Matechuck, her mother Maryann Favel, brothers and sisters Thomas Matechuck (Rose Kay), George Matechuck (Isabelle Kay), Mabel Machiskinic (Thomas Machiskinic) and Olive Manitopyes (Joseph Manitopyes).

Helen is survived by her children Dwayne Matechuck, Josephine Matechuck, Shirley Matechuck, Victoria Scherban (Mike Scherban) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her immensely.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who supported, cared for, and loved Helen throughout her life, may we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with her loved ones. We invite you to join us in laying Helen to rest.
