Holly Michelle Poitras “Birdie”

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of our beautiful Mom Holly “Birdie”, kokum, sister, and aunt who passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the age of 59.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rose Alma “Cook” and Thomas "Tiger" Delorme, maternal grandparents Jim and Harriet, paternal grandparents Jousi and Lulu, brothers: Howard, Chas, brother-in-law Gordie Pelletier, sister-in-law Debra Delorme; grandchildren: Sophia Tanner “Doe-phia dat bebe”, Kaitlyn McKay; nieces: Naomi “Penel” Rose Isaac, Tasheena Bear; nephew: Jamie Delorme “Jim Bob”.

Left to mourn her passing are her children: Desiree, Chelsea, and Trey. Her grandchildren: Tiara, Keslee, Sienna, Jace, Kashis, and Presley. Her siblings: Alma Pelletier, Bradley Delorme, Barb Mike (Nap), Murray Delorme (Karen), Douglas Delorme, Shirley Delorme (Lester), Sharyn Bear, and Keith Delorme. Adopted brothers Dave Fremont and Dutch Lerat. Special sisters Wendy Delorme, Jeanne Haywahe, Marla Sparvier, and Cathy Stevenson.

The family would like to thank all of Holly's Doctors and nurses throughout the last six years. All the support from 4D at Pasqua Hospital and Unit 2-5 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, with special acknowledgements to her favorite nurses: Michaline, Felina and Gin. As well, First Nations Health staff, Kylee and Tara. Thank you all for your kindness.

A Celebration of Holly’s Life will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 1 pm at the Muscowpetung Education Centre, Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation with kehte aya Harry Francis officiating.
