Joan Vera Buffalo

June 5, 1935 – July 11, 2020

The family of Joan Vera Buffalo is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Saturday July 11,2020 in Regina Saskatchewan at the age of 85.

She was predeceased by her parents Basil and Marion Buffalo; partner Bernard Kapay; siblings Peter Pratt (Joan), Jimmy Buffalo (Maggie), Ron Buffalo, Lillian Bratushesky; daughters Judy Geddes and Shelly Buffalo; son-in-law Blaine Pratt, and Chief John McNab; granddaughter Angela Twist, and grandson Orval Twist.

She is survived by her children Eleanor Pratt, Richard Buffalo, Karen Bird (Dave), Rhonda Bird (George), Arlene McNab, Clayton Buffalo (Loretta), Vivian Pratt (Derek), Eugene Buffalo, Lester Buffalo, and Sharon Windigo; son-in-law Glen Geddes; sister Mary Anderson; sister-in-law Nancy Buffalo; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.

A special thank you to all the compassionate care given by the doctors and staff of the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit and Conley Funeral Home.

The family invites friends and relatives to share memories and enjoy fellowship on Monday July 13, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at house 40, Daystar First Nation. Please bring a lawnchair.

A graveside service will be held to celebrate Joan’s life on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Daystar South Cemetery, Daystar First Nation.
