John Henry Grosse

May 8, 1968 – January 13, 2020

Born May 8, 1968 in Regina. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Elsie Grosse and his brother Brad. He is survived by his siblings Mark (Betty), Angel (Dean) Romano and Cindy. His nieces and nephews Cara (Justin), Heidi (Derek), Matt (Caillin), Adam, Shannon, Ben, Lyle, Dustin and Nick, Tanya and his great nieces and nephews. His second family Tim and Verla Hovind and Steve and Betty Hovind. Also Aunt Audrey and his many cousins as well as his special friends Nicole, Earl and Dave. John loved to spend time with his great nieces and nephews. In his younger years his family moved to Punnichy where he attended school. After high school John moved west living in Victoria BC and Edmonton AB where he was a master concrete cribber and finisher which he loved doing. From forming and finishing the caves for the blockbuster 13th Warrior set to amazing stamped sidewalks, he did it all. John eventually moved to Filmore, Sk then to Regina where he had been living. He loved to be outdoors hunting, camping and cutting grass. He spent time doing landscaping for a few years and when visiting friends and family you couldn’t keep him away from riding around on the lawn tractors cutting grass or keep him inside if there was snow to be shovelled. John enjoyed life as best as he was able. He was always eager and willing to help others in any way he could. Strangers were truly just friends John had not met yet. With his infectious smile and positive attitude accepting of everyone he will truly be missed by all who knew him. Taken too soon. Rest Easy John.

Viewing for family and close friends will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 143 Hodsman Road, Regina, SK. from 2 pm - 4 pm.  Interment of John’s urn will take place at a later date in the spring.
