Jonathan Andrew Walter Bird

November 12, 1986 - April 18, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jonathan Andrew Walter Bird, loving partner, father, brother, nephew and cousin. Jonathan (Nick) was called unexpectedly by the Creator on April 18, 2024 at the age or 37 years.

He is predeceased by his mother Irma Bird; infant daughter Ariel Marie Bird; brother Robin Lee Bird; paternal grandparents Walter Poorman and Edith Assoon and maternal grandparents Sanford Fisher and Irene Belanger (nee Bird).

Jonathan is lovingly remembered by his partner of 21 years Samantha McNab; his children Nicholas, Jonathan Jr, Parker and his princess Venus; sister Micheal; Quinton (Dewey) Cutknife; his father Micheal (Butch) Poorman and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will take place with the wake starting on Friday April 26, 2024 at 4pm in the old gymnasium on George Gordon First Nation. Funeral Services will take place the following day, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11am in the same location.

The family requests that no children attend the wake or the funeral.
