Kenisha Jasmine Belanger

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece and aunty, Kenisha Jasmine Belanger (Chartrand).  She went to join her sisters Tara Fawn Shingoose and Valentia Taypotat in the spirit world.

Kenisha was predeceased by her great grandparents Joseph Paul and Mary Edna (Asham) Wapemoose; grandparents Thomas and Lena (Mcleod) Chartrand; grandfather William Kinistino; uncles Clinton, Kelly, Kendall and William; aunts Edna, Colleen, and Jeannie; sisters Tara Fawn and Kiyomi Wynn; sister-in-law Valentia Taypotat; and nephew Lethal Alexson.

Kenisha leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Dakota Belanger; her children who she adored and they were her entire world, Stelios, Stellina and Tauriel Belanger; a niece she took as a daughter Kiyomi Shingoose; grandparents Flora (Ernie); mother Carmen (Glen); father Kenneth; brothers Kenneth (Jasmine), Timothy (Cindy), Matthew (Meadow), Joshua (Sheena); sisters Melvina, Elisha, Melodie (Garhard), Candice (Kyle), Gina (Brendan), and Simone; mother-in-law Molly Kaysaywaysemat; in-laws Heather Kaysaywaysemat, Garth Kaysaywaysemat (Maggie), Jason Smoker (Yolonda), Elizabeth Taypotat (Mason), Jean Taypotat (Nate) and Lacey Alexson (Kyle); aunts Terri, Annette (Arthur), Lorna, Nadine, Linda (Mitchell), Denise (John), Maureen and Adeline (Wayne); uncles Garry (Patricia), Ronald, Silas, and Kelsey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that had a close bond with her. She was truly one of a kind.

Wake will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2020  in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex Tipi, Ochapowace Nation, from  4:00 p.m. will be  viewing for immediate family  and from 5:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. will be public viewing. Funeral Service will be held the following day,  Monday, May 11, 2020, 5:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. public viewing and 12:00 p.m. for immediate family.
