Kirk passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2024. He was predeceased by his mom Shiela stonechild; mushum/kokum Ben and Margaret Stonechild; grandmother Kathleen Sangwais; sister Shiela Azure; brother Eric Sangwais.

Kirk is survived by his son Kadin Sangwais; brothers Elijah Blue Stonechild, Jared Stonechild, Keith Stonechild, Brian Sangwais; sisters Kayla Sangwais, Jamie Sangwais, Amber Sangwais; and many extended family and friends.

Wake will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 4 pm in House #63, Peepeekisis Cree Nation. Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11 am in the same location.
