Lara Noele Christiano

January 21, 1992 - July 6, 2025

It's with a sad heart I tell you that our friend Lara Noelle Cristiano passed away peacefully at the General Hospital in Regina, yesterday July 6, 2025. She had complications after surgery and is at peace now in heaven with her mum, dad, aunt, uncle and grandma Tweedie.

Lara loved her funky hairdos. Her last one included hot pink streaks which were inspired by her appreciation for drag queens. She had the time of her life at a meet and greet at the Drag show in Regina. Lara loved writing poetry and singing. She especially loved the Dixie Chicks, Elvis as well as Patsy Cline whose version of Amazing Grace happened to be playing when she peacefully passed on. Lara had a love of travel which started with taking a cruise with her mum Karen from Vancouver Island to Prince George and back. Karen and Lara also flew to Calgary twice to see the Dixie Chicks. When she lived at the Mallard group home in Wadena, she was part of a group that ventured to Disneyland on one occasion and Mexico on another.

Lara lived in Wadena for several years, then moved to Humboldt for a short time and made new friends. Her last home was at Wascana Rehabilitation Center in Regina. She had a wonderful, nurturing community and was well cared for. Despite her struggles, Lara was full of spirit and she very much enjoyed life.

A Celebration of Life will be taking place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Wadena, SK Golf Clubhouse, between 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
