Lenore Huber Obituary

Lenore Rose Huber
September 28, 1942 – June 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lenore Rose Huber of Regina, Saskatchewan, on June 26, 2026. She left this world peacefully, with her trust and faith in the Lord.
Lovingly remembered by her family and many close and cherished friends, Lenore will be deeply missed by her brothers Ardin (Vivian Gerrard) Huber of Regina and Larry (the late Margo) Huber of Southey; cousins and close friends Marilyn Venyige of Regina; Uncle John and Aunt Elsie Hugel of Regina; and Aunt Betty Kainz of Regina. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew Erin (the late Ian) Thinn of Moose Jaw, Robin (Curtis) Dubiel of Yorkton, Dixie Huber of Regina, Nolan (Jeanine) Huber of Southey, and Amy (Shawn) McCuaig of Sacramento, CA, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, and dear neighbours and friends from First Baptist Place, Regina, SK.

Raised on a small farm north of Markinch, SK, Lenore pursued her education and went on to spend many years as a schoolteacher in small prairie towns throughout Saskatchewan, followed by several years at SaskTel. She cared deeply about her faith and was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. In the late fall of 2022, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal — a commemorative honour created to mark the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne — recognizing citizens who strengthened their province through grassroots service, local achievement, and community dedication.
Lenore took immense pride in staying connected with friends and family. You could always count on her to remember your birthday with a phone call, and to wish you well over the holidays — everyone knew to expect a call on Christmas morning!
Lenore is predeceased by her mother and father, Susanna and Arnold Huber; sister-in-law Christina Huber; and sister-in-law Margo Huber.
Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
*"…because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."*
— Luke 1:78
May she rest in peace.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 9 at 2 pm in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2049 Scarth Street, Regina, SK.
Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home. Strasbourg, SK. 1-306-725-4000
