Louise Danielson Obituary

Louise Elvina (Lofgren) Danielson

January 15, 1929 - July 25, 2024

On July 25, 2024, Louise peacefully passed to her heavenly home, a joyous reunion with many loved ones who have gone before and her son, Ken who predeceased her by 2 months .

Louise was born to Eric and Myrtle Lofgren on the Lofgren farm 10 miles east of Strasbourg.  She is the third oldest of their 10 children.  Although she had seven brothers, Mom preferred joining her brothers doing outdoor chores, rather than the indoor chores, which her older sister enjoyed.

She attended Eastmount Country School from grades 1-8. Grades 9 & 10 were done by correspondence. Following school she worked a year each at Sears and Woolworth’s travelling to Regina by train, but returned to help on the farm each summer.

She married Eric Danielson September 28, 1948 at Eastmount Baptist Church. They settled on the Danielson homestead growing grain, and raising cattle and chickens.  They had three children: Shirley, Ken and Darlene.

Louise and Eric retired to Strasbourg in 1984, choosing a house close to their church, open fields behind them and space for a large garden.  Early retirement years were filled with much volunteer work at the Seniors’ Home and church and singing in the Community choir.

In 2010 Louise and Eric moved to The Centennial Manor In Strasbourg.

Louise will be remembered in our hearts as a loving wife, devoted sister, best mom ever, special grandmother and great grandmother and a faithful woman of prayer.  We are grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful Mom and will always love you.

A graveside service will be held at East Mount Cemetery on August 28 at 2 pm.

Come and go Coffee and Cookies at Centennial Manor Common Room from 3-5 pm.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for all the prayers and thoughtful expressions of love and kindness at this time of loss.
