Margaret Rose Colley

January 3, 1937 – March 25, 2021

Margaret was the daughter of Art and Elsie Doidge. She came from a large family of nine siblings. Margaret was a feisty little thing, a hard worker, and worked at many jobs throughout her life. Some of the jobs she had was at a cafe in Wynyard, babysitting, Shell restaurant in Raymore, cleaning Raymore Credit Union, and Raymore school.

Margaret married Robert (Arthur) Colley on March 28, 1959, eventually having six children together. Margaret and Bob loved to camp, visit relatives, play cards, and the game Bump.

Glen has a memory of how feisty mom Margaret was. During a peewee hockey game Glen was playing in Southey, the coach of the Southey team was an RCMP officer in his stripes. Mom thought he was picking on Glen, so at the end of the game mom attacked the Southey coach with her purse and had to be pulled off him.

Mom spent the last few years traveling around with her friend Jim Lovas. They went many a mile touring until health conditions changed this.

Margaret is survived by her six children: Connie (Greg) Bolt, Dennis (Shelly) Colley, Gloria (Stacey) McAfee, Geraldine (Darrell) Bolt, Gerald (Deidra) Colley, Glen (Sheri) Colley; eleven grandchildren: Rachel Bolt, Garrett Bolt, William Colley (Ashley), Janine Colley, Preston McAfee (Shauna), Aaron McAfee (Aleshia), Dustin Bolt, Devin Bolt (Nicole) , Ricky Bolt (Jacquelyn) ,  Gina Colley, Reid Colley; eight great-grandchildren: Aria Bolt, Jacob Colley, Alyssa Colley, Emma Colley, Zachary and Weston McAfee, Hardi-Dael Bolt, Gaige (Goosen) and Isaac Bolt.

A Graveside Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17 at 2 pm in the Raymore Protestant Cemetery, Raymore, SK. Covid-19 protocols will apply. Online messages of condolence to the family may be left on the Conley Funeral Home Website or Facebook page.
