Margaret (mom/Kukom/Great Kokum) dedicated her life to raising her family which included
her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was mom, kokum and Great
Kokum to many. She cared for her late husband Billy Boy when he became ill until his passing. Everyone
will remember mom as a loving, caring and silly kokum who can make you smile by her ways. Mom did
not learn how to drive; however, she would always get silly when someone asked her if she wanted to
drive. She would tell stories of her attempted driving. Mom was the oldest Pasqua Band member at 95
years old she lived and experienced many things through the stories she shared.
In honoring mom’s life, we are allowing children to attend the viewing. Mom loved the children,
and her life was all about the “Grands’, therefore, it is only right we honor her life celebration by
allowing all those who were apart of her life regardless of age. Her celebration of life will be Monday
July 24, 2023, at the Pasqua Band Hall Pasqua First Nation. A viewing will be from 1-4 PM and the service
will be from 4-5 PM with Pastor Edmund Gordon Officiating, a supper will follow with everyone invited.
The family would like to thank her daughter our sister Lorraine Obey and her great
