Mary Katherine Anderson (nee Buffalo)

September 13, 1945 – June 8, 2023

Mary was called home suddenly to join her loved ones. She was the last matriarch of the Buffalo family. Mary reunites with her parents: Marion(Pratt) & Basil Buffalo, Siblings: Peter & Joan Pratt, Jimmy & Maggie Buffalo, Joan Buffalo & Bernard Kapay, Ronnie Buffalo, Lillian & Walter Bratushesky; Brothers in law James Anderson, Doug Anderson; Uncle Wilfred Pratt; Husband Oliver Anderson; Partner Philip Bitternose; Grandson Tyson Kakakaway; great grandson River Yuzicappi; great granddaughter Clara Geddes/Kakakaway; & Special Niece Judy Geddes.

Mary is survived by her children: Brenda, Dwayne, Dale, Myra,(Deno), Loretta(Randy), Kelly, Shelly(Elvis), & Pamela(Danny), she also raised: Shelley(Arnold), R.J.(Bonnie), Tyler, Tylin, Taylor, & Tyler Jr.; Stepchildren: Anita Brass, Ramona Brass, Becki Brisbo, & Pam Hunter; Sisters: Eleanor Pratt, Dale Grey, Sister in law Nancy Buffalo; Brothers in law Brent Anderson, John and Sherry Anderson; special friends Mike and Glenda McNab. Mary had 24 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Wake will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 4 pm in the old gym, George Gordon First Nation. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 1 pm in the same location, Rev Dale Gillman officiating.
