BIGSKY – Maureen Rose, (March 1, 1980–November 9, 2022)
Maureen Rose Bigsky “Quizzy” passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 42 years old in Saskatoon, Sk. Maureen was born in Lestock Saskatchewan on March 1, 1980 to Parents Catherine Bigsky and Arnold “Kujo” Desjarlais. She is Predecease by her Father: Arnold “Kujo" Desjarlais, Maternal Grandparents: George Bigsky & Louisa Bigsky (Sayer), Paternal Grandparents: Lawrence Desjarlais & Josephine Pelletier, Sister: Sylvia Bigsky & Brother: Virgil Bigsky, Special Cousin: Delbert (Kenneth) Pelletier. Aunts: Freda Favel, Selina Wajunta, Dorothy Pelletier, Evelyn Pelletier. Uncles: Joe Desjarlais, John Desjarlais, Pete Desjarlais, Alfred Bigsky & Kenneth Bigsky Sr.
She is survived by her Mother: Catherine Bigsky, Her sons: Royce Bigsky, and Cole Severight. Her partner: Lloyd Severight. Siblings: Clayton (Carol), Arnold (Pam), Joseph (Danielle), Elizabeth (Dion). Maureen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with her God Father: Calvin Pelletier and Special-Friend: Ryan Cheekinew.
She will be sadly missed by many. Maureen will be remembered for her hard work and dedication in the field of health care where she worked as a care-aid for 10 years at the St. Joseph’s Integrated Care Center in Lestock, Sk.
A Traditional Wake will be held at the Lestock, Sk Town hall on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 4 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday November 18, 2022 at 11 am. Maureen will be laid to rest at the Muskowekwan First Nation Cemetery.
