Maurice James Keewatin

Maurice was predeceased by his grandparents, Roy and Ruby Keewatin; his mother, Helen Nancy Keewatin-Goodpipe; his sisters, Donna Mae, Patsy, and Margaret; and his brothers, Vernon and Kevin.

He is survived by his daughter, Ramona; his sisters, Glenda and Verna Goodpipe; and his brother, George Jr. Goodpipe. He also leaves behind his nephews Terrance (Destiny), Adam, and William, along with numerous nieces, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.

Maurice is also fondly remembered by his special relatives from Peepeekisis Cree Nation: Gordy, Edith, Diana, Murray Keewatin, and Steve Keewatin.

Maurice was a kind, quiet, private, and humble man who gave help to anyone in need. He deeply loved the powwow way of life and proudly lived and carried his traditional teachings every day.
