Michael Francis McNab
July 25, 1936 – September 15, 2023

It is with great sadness that we must share with friends and family that our Mushum, Father, Husband, Uncle, brother and friend. Michael (Mike) Francis McNab "ē pimihāt yōtinihk isi" (birds soaring in the wind), at 87 years old, of George Gordon First Nation.

Michael was born on the George Gordon First Nation, July 25, 1936 and passed away at the Wynyard Hospital, on Friday September 15, 2023.

Michael was predeceased by his Father Jim McNab & Mother Harriet (nee LaPlante), and the grandparents who raised him, Albert McNab & Jane McNab (nee Bird); siblings Big Bill, Ramona Peter, Muriel Poitras, Debbie Gardippie, Brenda Lighting, Frances Rosebluff, Ila McNab, Sarah Laslo, Shirley McNab (nee Strongeagle); daughter Loretta Lynn McNab and grandchildren, Albert Windigo and Miranda McNab.

He is survived by his loving wife Glenda (Pete) McNab; his children Melinda Moosemay, Ramona Windigo, Mark McNab/Geraldine, Lyle Mahigan/Nola, Wendy and Lawrence; brothers Bryan McNab/Theresa, Leon McNab/Mary, Mr. Mole/Theresa, Albert McNab, Dale Grey and John Anderson; and special siblings cousins Frank Cyr, Caroline Roszell, and Earl Cyr.
Michael had16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and adopted grandchildren Vernick Bickert/Jason and Chasity Delorme.

Special mention to his adopted father late Senator Allan Bird, his children from Montreal Lake, Saskatchewan and his adopted sons Guy Lonechild/Leah, Everette (Duck Soup) Bigeagle, Gerard Legacy and Rita Kinequon.

A wake will be held in the old gym on George Gordon First Nation on Wednsday, September 20, 2023. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the same location.
