Myron James Matechuck

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Myron James Matechuck on April 24, 2023. Myron is predeceased by his father George Matechuck, and mother Isabel (nee Nahpootican) Matechuck, grandparents Andrew Kay, Clara Nahpootican, Jim Matechuck and Mary Matechuck (nee Favel); brothers Brian Nahpootican, Kelly, Floyd, and baby Preston Matechuck; sisters Vivian, Cynthia, and twins Loretta and Leona Matechuck.
Myron is survived by his wife Lucille Ann Matechuck (nee McEwen); son Terrance Dubois; daughters Jennifer Kormish, Wendy Kormish, Holly Kormish (Darren), and Ashley Singh (Jasveer).
Myron was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Annie (May) Favel, Debbie, Jocelyn, Silvia (Warren), Georgina, and Denise Matechuck; brothers Paul Poorman and Leon Matechuck (Lori); aunt Helen Matechuck; uncles Austin Kay, Steven Daniels. Myron also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Myron was a loving husband, generous father, brother, nephew cousin and friend. He loved the time he spent with his family and friends. Myron always had a wisecrack to make everyone laugh. He always made new friends because of his beautiful personality. Myron's most cherished calling was being called grandpa/papa to his grandkids and great grandkids. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He is our number 1 grandpa/papa. Myron will be forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Wake will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 4 PM in the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex Gymnasium, Kawacatoose First Nation.
Funeral Service will held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11 AM in the Same location .
