Nancy Jane Buffalo

February 13, 1940 -  August 27, 2024

The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother ~ Mama, Great Grandmother, and Great-great Grandmother Nancy Jane Buffalo nee McPherson on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the age of 84.

She was predeceased by her parents; Abraham and Mary I. McPherson, her loving husband; Ron Buffalo Sr., her siblings; brothers Jackson, Wilfred (Virginia), Randy, and John McPherson, sisters; Ingrid (Harold) Ogemow, Louise McPherson, and Rose Chubb, her brothers inlaw; Marty McKay, Joshua Hudson, and Richard Harper, her infant son; Darwin, daughter; Cyndi, her grandchildren; Terrence/Chubba, James, and Trisha Buffalo.

She is survived by her siblings; Bill (Sylvia) McPherson, Frank (Bessie) McPherson, Margaret Hudson, and Donelda Harper, her children; Cheryle (Bryan) Crowe, Ron Buffalo Jr., Grace Buffalo, Corrina (Bucky) Delorme, her grandchildren; Cori (Garnet) Kay, Jerylyn Crowe, Sean Favel, Suzie Buffalo, Aaron Crowe, Jaimee Crowe, Jared Buffalo, Ronni Delorme, Landon (Shayla) Delorme, Kolton Buffalo, and Darian (Nakita) Buffalo, many great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, as well as many adopted children, nephews, nieces, relatives, and all those that knew her as Mama.

The family wishes to express gratitude of thanks for the care and support given by the staff at St. Joseph’s Integrated Care Centre. The doctors and staff of the Fort Qu’Appelle All Nations Healing Hospital, Conley Funeral Home, Blue Mountain Drum Group, and the Daystar First Nation.

Wake will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 4 p.m. at house 280, Daystar First Nation. Funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, September 2, 2024 at 11 am in the Daystar First Nation Community Center. Interment to follow in the Daystar South Cemetery. The service will not be livestreamed.
