Natalie Rosa Fritzler

Natalie (Dolly) Fritzler passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023. She was a current resident of Last Mountain Pioneer Home, Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, with her roots being from Cymric, Saskatchewan.

Dolly never married, nor had children. Her, and her two brothers, Carl and Alvin, helped their parents out on the farm, and continued with the farming tradition, long after their parents passed on. Dolly, and her brothers, lived on the farm west of Cymric, until the winters became too much. Carl passed away while still living at the farm, so Alvin and Dolly moved to Strasbourg once they needed to be in a location closer to necessary amenities.

Dolly loved living a simple life. She took so much pride in her garden, cooking, and baking. Whenever she was hosting a meal, one knew to go to her house with an empty stomach. Alvin, Carl, and Dolly loved travelling by car to various parts of Canada and the United States. They loved going anywhere that had a bountiful “smorg”. Dolly also enjoyed sewing, creating many quilts for those she loved.

Dolly was predeceased by her parents: Fred and Caroline, as well as her beloved brothers: Carl in 2000 and Alvin in 2014, extended family and friends. She leaves behind her “adopted family”: Wilf and Val Knaus, Dean (Shelly), Fran (Cory), and Trevor, as well as Cole, Mason, Ciara, Lexi, and Dominik. Also mourning her loss are very special friends: Joan Kelln, Christine and Dennis, Melanie and Wade, and Warren.

Dolly’s funeral service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10 am in St John Lutheran Church, Strasbourg, SK. Memorial donations in Dollys memory can be made to the Strasbourg Lutheran Church, Box 505, Strasbourg, SK. S0G 4V0 or the Jim Pattison Childrens Hospital .

Internment will take place Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11 am at Govan Cemetery.
