Reginald Poorman Obituary

Poorman, Reginald James

July 5, 1962 - May 4, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Reg (Reggie)

Poorman. He was predeceased by his mother, Claudette Poorman; sister, Karen Hurren; son, Jon-Michael Poorman; grandparents, Stella and George Ceepeekous, Fred and Bessie Poorman. Reg is survived by his partner of many years, Sandra Goodpipe; his children, Stephanie (Jared) Schwark, Jessica Poorman, and Julie (Kelly) Runge; ex-wife and friend, Jackie Poorman; father Bill (Lillian) Poorman; brothers, Randy (Rosa), Wesley (Kim), Trevor (Elenor), Virgil (Penny), sisters Leslie (Aron), and Sheila; as well as his brothers and sisters from Beardy's First Nation: William, Alec, Crystal, Candace, Jennifer, Tammy and Kim; grandchildren, Israel and Jacob; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as Sandra's family, including Jamison, who was very special to him. Reg grew up loving hockey, but his dreams of going pro didn't come. He became a skilled carpenter, who kept working despite needing a double knee replacement. He was a man of faith, who deeply loved his family and friends. Reg had a great sense of humor and brought joy to those around him, even if it meant poking fun at himself. The memories of him will live on.

A Wake will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2024, on Kawacatoose First Nation at the Asiniw-Kisik Education Campus gymnasium. Funeral Services will be held in the same location the following day, Monday, May 13, 2024, at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Raymore, SK., (306) 746-1000. The service will not be livestreamed.
