July 16, 1965 - January 9, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rhonda "Hottie" Akan, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the General Hospital at the age of 60.

A Wake will take place at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, on George Gordon First Nation in the old gym. A Celebration of Life including a community meal will be held in the same location the following morning, Wednesday, January 14, at 11:00 am. All are welcome.
Following cremation, there will be an invitation at a later date to join Rhonda's family for a ceremonial scattering of ashes.
