Robert Burns Thompson (JoJo)
November 8, 1947 – June 15, 2022
It is with deep sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Robert B. Thompson at Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation on June 15, 2022. Predeceased by parents Archie Thomson and Clara Marie Thomson (nee Klyne) brothers, Gilbert, George, Urban, William”Billy”, his sisters Marjorie, Wanda, and daughter Charlene Prettyshield. He is survived by his wife Donna Prettyshield, his brothers Duncan (Linda), Ivan (Fairlene), his dear sisters Irene, Violet, and Aggie (Barry). He will be greatly missed by his children Cathy (Anthony), Marla (Terry), Robert Jr. (Angelea), Monica (Ernie), Preston (Tiffany), and Michael. His much loved 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. His adopted sons, Nakia, Charlie, Alain, Wesley, Scott and Lorne. He will be remembered with much love and respect by his numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends on and around Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation.
A wake will be held on Sunday June 19, 2022 at the Carry The Kettle First Nation Band Hall at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday June 20, 2022 in the same location at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in the south cemetery Carry The Kettle First Nation.
Family requests that no children be at the wake and funeral.
