On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Shannon Manitopyes was called by Creator to begin her journey to the spirit world. She was 37 years old.

 

She was predeceasedc by her grandparents Vincent & Florence Manitopyes, Clement Bigsky & Isabelle Hunter & Emma Pambrun; mother Margaret Hunter; siblings Crystal Hunter, Shelley Manitopyes, Joseph Manitopyes & Dwight Manitopyes; aunts Jackie Hunter, Joyce Manitopyes, Lorraine Bigsky & Flora (Tootsie) Bigsky; uncles Bradley Hunter, Leon Manitopyes, Joe Hunter, Carment Hunter, Gabe M, Delbert Bigsky & Danny Bigsky.

 

Left to cherish Shannon's memory is her father Vincent K Manitopyes (Stephanie); sister Chasity Hunter; step-sister Samantha Renee; brothers Kenneth Hunter, Clement Manitopyes, Mikey Manitopyes & Lindsay Hunter; step-brothers Nathan & Brandon; aunts Abbey Hunter & Karen Hunter; partner Mitchell Kay; children Drayden, Harmony, Emmett & Shelby (Kay-Manitopyes); special niece Maddy that she took as her own; special cousin/sister Deanna Wolfe as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews & grandbabies.

 

A wake will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 4pm in the band hall on Muskowekwan First Nation. Funeral services will take place the following day, Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11am in the same location.
