It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Solas (Mason) Layhn Aisaican, who was called home by the Creator on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 31 years.

Solas possessed a loving heart, a courageous spirit, and a determination that carried him through life's many challenges. He fought bravely until the very end. He had often told his beloved sister that if his body ever became too tired to continue the fight, he would find a way to send her a sign, and he did. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he was welcomed home by his beloved father, Melvin Joseph Aisaican, and reunited with his cherished pug, Rozee, both of whom he missed dearly.

Throughout his 31 years, Solas embraced life and adventure. He loved to travel and was fortunate to visit places such as China and Africa, creating memories that he treasured deeply. When he was not travelling, he found joy in his passions for Star Wars, Gaming, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and Marvel. As his health declined, these interests became a source of comfort and escape, bringing him happiness during difficult times.

Solas was predeceased by his father, Melvin Joseph Aisaican; grandparents, Wilbert and Leota Aisaican (Sparvier); uncles, Gary Sparvier, Todd Sparvier, and Dean O'Watch; beloved auntie, Tracie Bobb; great-grandparents, George and Bertha O'Watch; and cousins, Keesha Sparvier, Vanessa Sparvier, and Matthew Sparvier, Logan O’Watch

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sister and motherly figure, Marissa Walkingcloud Aisaican, and his precious nephew, Hunter Tayvin. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Preston Henry, Riley Henry, Keegan Sparvier, Kashtin Sparvier, Brett Worme, Rob Johnson, and Austin Johnson; sisters, Jenny Rae George and Brayden Benjoe; and his dearest friends, Catherine Smarch, Shania Toto, Colby Henderson, and Joe Feliciano.

Solas also leaves behind his uncles, Marc Sparvier (Marla), Wendell Sparvier, Barry Sparvier Sr, Stan Bobb, Matthew Eashappie; aunties, Charmaine Sparvier, Freda Sparvier, Shelley Delorme, Trisha O'Watch, and Amber O'Watch; and grandmothers, Rose O'Watch and Mae O'Watch. Grandfather Clyde (Bernice) O’Watch , along with numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humour, and strength.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who loved, supported, and cared for Solas throughout his life. A special thank you is extended to Nurse Lani, Monica Prettyshield, and Darilyn Edmisson, Grandma Della, Auntie Rhonda for their care, compassion, and support during his journey.
