It is with great sadness that the family of Sonia Elizabeth Debrah Kay born September 17, 1981 announce her sudden passing on August 9, 2025.

Sonia is predeceased grandparents Clement Kay, Margaret Bigsky, Melvin Sabit & Anne Smoke. Aunties and uncles Stanley Bigsky, Clayton Kay, Colleen Kay, Vincent Kay Caroline Kay, Jason Kay and Lilian Smoke.

Sonia is survived by her parents, Brenda Kay and Lloyd Semook; children Eric, Dreden, Shayah Worm and her first grandson Kyran; siblings, Albert, Tyrell, Courtney, and Chance Oochoo, Tamara (Brandon), Rebecca, Lloyd Manitopyes (Tatianna); auntie Victoria (Charles); cousins Charity(Richard), Farrell(Teresa), Mitchell, Charles, Alyssa, Ryan & Shannon Kay. Sonia will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Wake will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 4 pm at the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex on Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral services to follow the next day, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11 am in the same location.
