Susan Lynn Creely

It is with great heartache the family announces the passing of Susan Lynn Creely.
Predeceased by Father Bill L. Creeley and Mother Irene M. (Thomas)Creeley. Sons Richard, Danny. Brothers Russell, Herbert, Billy. Sisters Connie, Theresa.
Survived by sons: Murray, Byron, Michael, Preston. Adopted sons, Charles Bellegarde Sr . Adopted Daughter Angie (Alain) Ironstar. Numerous grandchildren. Great granddaughter Kennethy. Sisters Charolette, Rosabell (Tom). Brothers Lindsay, Nyle (Rose), Ace, Lyle, Leonard (Tammy), Dale (Kelly), Dana, Ron. Cousins Mona and Myrna. Grandsons she raised Maleek and Preston.
Susan was born in Fort Qu’Appelle Indian Hospital. Early years of her life she attended Gordons Residential School and Prince Albert Residential School. She made Winnipeg her home along with her siblings. In 2002 made the decision to follow the Red Road. She had determination to make changes for herself and her children. She became the pillar of many community members as her honesty and humility was her strengths. Susan was employed by Okanese First Nation as the Wellness Coordinator & Justice Coordinator. She was instrumental in creating the Wonderful Okanese Woment (WOW). Her role as a parent mentor and NADAP impacted the community in numerous ways. Susan like to pick our sacred medicines and attending numerous ceremonies. By attending ceremony helped Susan with her life struggles. Her advice to family and friends that were having a hard time is Smudge and pray.

Wake will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 4pm in the Okanese Learning Center on Okanese First Nation. Funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11am in the same location. Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK.
