Terrence Moise-Hansen Obituary

Terrence Lloyd Moise-Hansen

December 3, 1947 - July 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Terrence Lloyd Moise-Hansen, a hardworking and generous man who was known and respected by many, especially along the Pow-Wow Trail. Surrounded by family and love in his final days, Terry left this world having lived a full and meaningful life.

Terry shared his life with his beloved wife, Marlene Moise-Hansen. He was the proud father of Pamela Hansen (Roy Conrad), and a loving stepfather to Marlene’s daughters, Lynette Brass (Phillip) and Tricia Brass (Mike). He also raised his cherished granddaughter, Rayne Brass (Edward), as his own.

He was a devoted Papa to seven grandchildren: Savanah Brass-Windigo, Taniesha, Maliah, Kingston Brass-Windigo, Rayne, Shyanna, and Tyreese Brass. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren who loved and respected him deeply: Edward, Dominic, Issac, Greyson, Luna, and Gracie.

Terry was a man who believed in staying busy and making the most of each day. He found the most joy when surrounded by family—from the oldest to the youngest. He was always someone people could count on.

In 2002, Terry met the love of his life Marlene, and they were married in 2004. In 2003, Terry and Marlene started a food service business called Minnie’s Grill, which became a beloved part of the Pow-Wow Trail for 21 years. Known for his tasty food and warm spirit, Terry served Elders, Dancers, Singers, and all who gathered to celebrate. He was always ready to lend a hand to fellow vendors and made many lasting friendships over the years.

Terry was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Ann Hansen (‘nee Horvath) of Kelliher, and his brothers Brian Hansen and Darrell Moise Hansen.

He is survived by his loving wife Marlene Moise-Hansen; special aunt Hellen (Larry) Fry; siblings Beverly Thompson, Amber Boyarski (Walter), Maureen Karakachuck (Donald), Gail Kolodniski, and Neil Hansen (Delanie); sister-in-laws Cory Hansen & Pauline Moise; brother-in-law Douglas Moise.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to: All the doctors and nurses at All Nations Healing Hospital, Fort Qu’Appelle, Palliative Care Nurse Kelly for her comforting presence, Andrea from Homecare in Raymore; Pete and Marlene Bigstone, Elders, for their prayers and cultural guidance; Chief Cynthia Desjarlais, Councillor Dr. Charlene Bruce, and a special thank you to Councillor Marie Desjarlais for her beautiful gospel songs at the hospital; everyone who worked alongside Terry at the Pow-Wows and became extended family; All the friends and relatives who visited, prayed, and supported the family during Terry’s final days.

Terry’s spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. He was a man of action, compassion, and unwavering dedication—always working, always giving, always loving. Flowers gratefully declined donations to Canadian Pancreatic Cancer Society.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11 am in the Lestock Town Hall, Lestock, SK. Interment to follow in the Muskowekwan First Nation Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK. 1-306-332-0555.
