Troy was called home suddenly during his long battle with a heart condition. He was a fighter & fought till the end. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle & grandpa. He was a great friend to many. He will go on to reunite in the spirit world with the family members he loved & missed dearly.
Troy is predeceased by his grandparents Hector Kay, Alice Taypayosatum, Angus Moose, Alex & Elsie Poorman; his siblings Lavern, Nathan, Alexis; special aunt Marlene Machiskinic; numerous uncles, aunties & cousins. Troy will also be reuniting with his baby girl that passed at birth.
Troy leaves behind a big family. His parents Connie & Alex Poorman; Grandma Marilyn Gilbert; children Chaston (Felicity), Danin, Arion, Arianna, Tiana, Paychance, Kaydance; his partner Sheena & step-children Katherine & Junior; siblings Garren (Pam), Brian (Jolene), Daniel (Kara), Mervin, Vernon, Eric (Denise), Sheldon (Sharon), Elliot, Amy (Lou), Jerilyn, Aileen (Andrew), Caitland; special cousins he took as siblings Alex (Dionne), Penny, Teagan (Ruebin); special aunties Melinda Moosemay, Pauline Moise, Melvina Quezance, Margaret Moose, Edna Brass & Molly Machiskinic along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunties & friends.
A wake will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 4pm in the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex on Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral services will be held the following day, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11am in the same location.
